Description

Fossen is a small crag located right by the water at Fossen Camping. At present, there are four bolted routes here and several top‑rope anchors. There is potential for more routes both on this crag and on other walls in the area. The routes were bolted in 2024, primarily by Jens Larssen. The bolting is sponsored by Fossen Camping.

Environment: The crag faces northwest and remains in the shade until the afternoon. It should dry relatively quickly after rain. The crag is fairly new, and the routes may feel somewhat unbrushed. The surroundings are very pleasant, with benches, a beach, and the sea.

Climbing: The routes are around 10 metres long and mostly slabby or nearly vertical. All routes are bolted and equipped with lower‑offs. There are also a couple of additional anchors at the top of the crag from which several top‑rope routes can be set up.

History

The crag was developed mainly by Jens Larssen in 2024 (with economic support from the camping).
