🌞South facing boulder on top of a hill. Gets a lot of sun and dries instantly
⏰ Best season to visit is late spring/early summer and autumn/early winter. If you go during summer, go early morning or after 6pm
🗿Rock type is quartzite. Like sandstone but super hard.
🐳 The area hosts only one route, Maitovalas (7B), a well-defined compression testpiece with excellent movement.
🚨If you see any other potential routes, please contact the developers first to see if they're still being projected. Developing routes takes time and effort so please respect that.
🏞️ The area is pristine, so please be mindful of your surroundings and respect the environment.
👞 Park your car on the west side of the hill. Follow the edge of the moraine all the way to the top, then descend to the boulder. Avoid taking the shortest route—you’ll thank me later. Expect the approach to take at least 30 minutes on your first visit, as the terrain is challenging.
🎁If friction feels bad, try soaking the holds completely after cleaning and let them dry. For some reason this improves the friction on quartzite substantially!
🚩 Absolutely no bolting!
