Skolberget in Strömbolstad is mostly known for hard and long (at least for Finnish crags) sport routes but there are plenty of trad routes too. There is parking nearby by the side of the road and the approach is an easy walk across a meadow, no need to jump any fences, just follow the path. Watch out for ticks and sometimes the grazing cows.
The sport sector is overhanging and first bolts are sometimes quite high and thus crashpads or clipsticks are nice to have. To the left of the sport sector there is an abundance of cracks and very few established routes. Some rusting pitons here and there give a clue of previous ascents. Some lines start from the meadow, for others moderate scrambling is needed to reach ledges higher up.
The climbing is mostly vertical with some roof sections. There is a large ledge separating the lower and upper faces. Traversing the forest near the meadow is quite strenuous, and the 'moderate' scrambling is in fact pretty challenging at parts.
