No special access issues

It is recommended, in both sectors, to set a fixed rappelling rope (for Candelabros of at least 50 meters and for Piratas of at least 60 meters) and use a different one for climbing.

Likewise, it is recommended to be provided with a jumar fist type blocking device, protraxion pulley, ropeman, etc., in addition to our usual belaying device, so that, together with the fixed rope, you can ensure an escape route, different from either just climbing out the routes, or the fishermen's ladder. If you choose the latter, you may use the fixed rappel rope as a lifeline in case the ladder fails.

You must pay special attention when descending from the routes, since the great overhang of many of them, especially those on the right side of the Candelabros sector, will make you land directly on the sea. Likewise, when you finish climbing a route, please pay special attention to passing the rope through the fixed carabiners that you will find in many of them, which will prevent the rope from ending up in the water when pulled out

It is important to leave the sector with enough light to return to the parking lot without having to use headlights, since at night it is very easy to deviate from the return path and get lost. In the Piratas del Caribe sketches, several lines have been omitted due to the dangerous condition of their equipment.

Finally, please note that you are in a field totally dominated by seagulls, so you must be very respectful of these birds and disturb them as little as possible, especially during the nesting season.

How to get to the parking area:

The parking area is the same as the one of the Sierra de Toix

Approach:

Approach: From both car parks, take the same path that leads to the first sectors of the Sierra de Toix and continue thought it, leaving the Lejano Oeste sector on the left-hand side. Just before the end of this path, you will see some big landmarks, where a small path begins slightly to the right, which will take you directly to the sectors. After about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the access point of the Candelabros del Sol, where you will find the abseiling right next to two metal stakes nailed to the ground, very close to the edge of the cliff. About 150 meters further on, you will arrive at a kind of small platform where, just before, we will see a small hole that overlooks the sea. A few meters to the left of the hole we will find the Monerris abseil. Finally, 50 meters further on, you will arrive at a kind of landing with two enormous holes that are located just above the Piratas del Caribe. The abseil begins on the left side of the largest hole.
