🚗 Arrival
From Trento, take the SP235 towards Mezzolombardo / Bolzano. Before reaching Mezzolombardo, stay on the SP235 by following signs for Cles, which will take you through a long tunnel. Continue to a large junction with a car park in its center and enter the next tunnel, signposted for Cles - Malè. Follow this road for approximately 13 km to the village of Dermulo. Drive through Dermulo, and when you reach the train station, bear right, following signs for Merano / Bolzano / Fondo. Continue on this road for about 15.3 km to reach Fondo. At the first junction after entering the village, keep right toward Lago Smeraldo. Proceed for another 1.2 km to the end of Via Palade and then turn right into the SS238, following directions for Tret / Passo Palade. Continue for 3.5 km and then branch left towards Tret, reaching the village itself. Leave Via Principale and turn into Via Cantone (following signs for the car park and CASCATA Torrente Novella). Drive until you reach the car park on the side of the playground.
During high season, finding a parking spot can be challenging. Please park carefully and avoid obstructing access for local residents.
🚶♂️ Sector
From the parking area, walk back along Via Cantone and turn right (heading west). After 130 meters, just after the large building, turn left following the sign for "Cascata Base." Follow this comfortable, slightly downhill path. After a short, steeper section with steps, you will reach the first sector, Sentiero. Continue for another 30 meters to reach sector Cascata.
Do not miss a visit to the impressive waterfall itself, reachable by walking along the main path for 1–2 minutes beyond the sectors.
Attention!
Along the final section of the path, you will see several signs indicating private property, forbidden access, and video surveillance. Although the watercourse and the waterfall are public domain and the main trail is promoted by the local municipality and the Val di Non tourism board, the surrounding woods, banks, and meadows are mostly privately owned.
Public passage is guaranteed along the marked trail, but landowners display signs along their boundaries to prevent visitors from straying onto private ground. In the event of an injury on private land off the official trail, owners face legal liability for property oversight; these signs serve as legal protection to disclaim responsibility in case of careless behavior or accidents. Please respect private land and stick strictly to the marked path.
